OZONE THERAPY & PROLOTHERAPY

Each technique offers unique benefits, and your unique condition may require more than one approach to fully achieve chronic pain relief.

OZONE THERAPY

This is Dr. Robles’ most meticulously honed and refined specialty.

Ozonotherapy applies medical grade ozone, a highly reactive form of pure oxygen, to create a curative response in the body. You feel pain because your body’s self-renewal potential is blocked. The reactive properties of ozone stimulate it to remove many of these impediments, allowing it to do what it does best – heal itself.

Ozonotherapy has been practiced across the globe for over fifty years. Dr. Robles follows the standardized scientific principles established by the International Scientific Committee on Ozonotherapy (ISCO3).

He exceeds the requirements of his certification, while continually refining his customized ozone therapy techniques, which have been shown to:

  • activate the immune system of people with infectious diseases
  • improve cell use of oxygen in cardiovascular patients
  • act on pain receptors to reduce or even eliminate chronic pain
  • help heal interstitial cystitis, chronic hepatitis, herpes infections, dental infections, diabetes, and macular degeneration
  • detoxify body penetrating blood, lymph, and fat
  • reduce inflammation

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FEEL THE EFFECTS OF OZONOTHERAPY?

You may feel some soreness after the injection for approximately 24 hours or longer. While some of Dr. Robles’ patients report almost immediate relief, significant improvement may take anywhere between three and four weeks. Some patients continue to experience improvement over several months after treatment.

PROLOTHERAPY

For hundreds of patients, Dr. Robles has reduced or eliminated chronic pain using prolotherapy – the injection of the following non-cortisone solutions into chronic tendon, ligament, and joint pain sites:

  • dextrose: a simple corn sugar
  • saline: a salt solution
  • sarapin: a painkiller derived from pitcher plants

These solutions induce temporary local inflammation – a natural healing response that may reduce or eliminate chronic pain, improving your quality of life safely, naturally, and without addictive pharmaceuticals.

Prolotherapy is a low risk procedure with few documented adverse effects. Hundreds of Dr. Robles’ patients have experienced:

  • increased blood flow
  • damaged cells stimulated to regenerate
  • reconstructed tissue damaged by arthritis and osteoarthritis
  • improved pain and function of joints

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FEEL THE EFFECTS OF PROLOTHERAPY?

A lot depends on the origin of your pain. If your pain originates from outside your tendons and ligaments, you typically feel better in 4-48 hours, due to nerve calming. Pain may then recur temporarily. Generally, pain originating from nerves outside tendons and ligaments requires up to three treatments to produce long-term relief.

If your pain originates within the ligament or tendon’s nerves, recovery time may take longer because ligaments and tendons must heal before their nerves can respond. As healing occurs, the nerves are relieved of pressure, and pain begins to subside. Long-term relief for nerves located within tendons and ligaments may require up to two treatments.

Because most treatments are delivered at two-month intervals to allow healing, it may be four months or longer before you experience long-term pain relief. As with all medical procedures, results and recovery times vary.

IS REGENERATIVE INJECTION THERAPY COVERED BY INSURANCE?

Most insurance plans, including Medicare, do not cover ozone therapy and prolotherapy.
